Visit The Vatican and Sistine Chapel followed by St Peter’s Basilica in an exciting way, with a family friendly guide|! By taking advantage of our early entry privilege we are able, in a more comfortable way, to get closer to the treasures of the world's smallest country.

Enter the Vatican Museums almost an hour before the general opening. This is where your expert child friendly guide will steer you around the maze of The Vatican, showing you the best there is. With the use of interactive technology, your kids will be highly entertained. Over many years we have created tours in Rome that interest children of all ages and, to do that, we have worked with a fantastic team of guides who are excellently skilled in working with children. Of course, they are fully professional guides and will impart all the knowledge and information that Mum and Dad will want to hear on a tour but these guys are just able to connect with and engage children better than some others are. Your children will not want to keep the tour going!

This tour is a great option for those families with young kids or teens. We all know that children, with their excitement and eagerness to get their day started, do not want to wait in long lines or stand behind hundreds of people. All they want is to be up close and doing the interesting stuff. This is why we came up with this great family tour. Starting early in Rome is such a good idea because it helps avoid lines and masses of people as well as the midday heat in summertime. We will do everything possible to guide you in a fun and crowd free environment so that your children will have tbe best experience!

Meet us directly at our office, in Viale Vespasiano 28 at 7:30 AM for a complimentary coffee. Your child friendly guide will be holding a sign with your family name on it. Spend a little more time in areas of the Vatican Galleries that will stretch the minds and imaginations of youngsters, in the gallery of the tapestries they will have their visual perception challenged, as figures and objects seen in 2 dimensions appear in 3 and change direction as well.
Designed as a family tour,  during this experience, your guide will lead you to see some things that we know from experience kids love. The Cabinet of the Masks for instance, where they get to see ancient mosaics, but most of all...they get to visit an area that is usually closed to the public! They also get to see Nero’s marble bathtub, so huge that it would be a swimming pool to any family.

At any age, everyone is awe struck by Michelangelo’s Sistine Chapel so be prepared for the silence that hits as people stare and wonder. Allow the guide to crack the myths and explain how this majestic creation was to come about. Learn how the world’s greatest sculptor spent many years of his life painting fresco art despite favoring sculpting during his lifetime.

Have the privilege of entering St Peter’s Basilica without waiting in line. That alone means saving 2 or more hours of precious family time. The simple vastness of this structure is mind blowing as inside you can fit 4 football fields. However, the size has not compromised its beauty. As you enter and turn off to the right, view Michelangelo’s Pietà. A statue of pure beauty and poignant sadness. A depiction of the Mother Mary holding the body of her deceased son in her arms. Jesus is characterized at the size of a young child. This statue, as near to perfection in marble as you will ever witness, was created when the artist was a mere 23 years of age. There is a legend that goes something like this. After it went on display, Michelangelo returned to watch the reaction of people as they viewed it. He was dismayed upon hearing more and more people expressing doubt that it was truly the work of a mere youth. He returned at night to carve “The work of Michelangelo of Florence” on the breast of Mary. This is one of the very few works he ever felt the need to sign in his life.

Finally, get back out into daylight to stand in St Peter’s Square, looking upon it from the outside you will have a totally different perspective with your new-found knowledge. St Peter’s Square is a wonderful venue for children and adults alike. The genius architect and baroque Master was to create not just an incredible piazza but one with a few entertaining features that only a local can show you. Children love these features.

As you complete this great introduction to the mysteries of the Vatican your children will still be smiling. Next, we will be happy to show you where you can get some of the best gelato in Rome or point you to a great restaurant for lunch. You still have plenty of time to see a lot more today. This is a wonderful way to engage the whole family and take in all The Vatican has to offer in a fun exciting and educational experience!
